Additional information We love the neighbourhood and home. At this stage in life, have come to realize that we really no longer need such a large home. Thus, we would be very content
remaining in our home for years to come, but completely open to the idea of selling. We have put a lot of investment into our house and property, and our neighbours, including some who have recently sold their
homes, have told us our asking price is very fair in comparision to their homes and the prices they received, so we are pretty firm on our price point. Houses in our neighbourhood sell quickly and ours is nicely
outfitted. If you are a home buyer, pre-qualified for financing, and like what you have seen in the photos, we would be delighted to have a conversation with you and show you our home. Unfortunately we do
need to limit house showings due to our schedules. We apologize in advance if we do need to schedule out a couple of days due to other previously scheduled activities. If you are a realtor: We are not
interested in listing with you. Please do not call or email asking if we are. No, we do not want a market analysis. We already had that several months ago, and we based our price on the insights of several real estate mentors we have. Unfortunately many of your colleagues in the industry have aggressively hounded us when we started thinking about selling, and now we do not trust the gimmicks in your calls and emails. If you truly have a buyer that wants to buy our house, and
they
want to pay you a commission, we of course are open to that, but your commission will need to come from them, not from our asking price. We prefer a FSBO direct buyer deal since the cost savings will go to the buyer, but if your buyer wants your involvement, that is certainly fine with us, but they will need to pay for it over and above our price. Sorry to be so candid with you, but we have had to field over 200 calls and visits, yes--even repeatedly coming to our door, from aggressive realtors over the last couple of months after word got out that we were thinking about listing, and right now many of your colleagues have regretfully currently presented a very dubious image of the profession to us.
